First Wave Health Advocates was founded by Dr. Alice Perlowski, a Board Certified Cardiologist with over 20 years in health care, based in Southern California. She noticed early in the pandemic that the 2019 Novel Coronavirus was causing unprecedented health effects in people of all ages. Millions found themselves searching for answers for poorly understood conditions, while navigating a complex US healthcare system– often for the first time. With her lived experience, extensive medical expertise, and passion for patient advocacy, she knew she was the perfect medical professional to start a Healthcare Advocacy firm specializing in patients with Long COVID and injuries of the COVID-19 pandemic.
